THESE OFFICIAL RULES
(“OFFICIAL RULES”) PROVIDE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LIDS PLAYER CHASE SERIES
TWO SWEEPSTAKES (THE “SWEEPSTAKES”). BY ATTEMPTING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
SWEEPSTAKES, PARTICIPANTS (AS DEFINED BELOW) FULLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY AGREE TO
BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF LIDS, WHICH WILL BE FINAL
AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE SWEEPSTAKES.
1. Eligibility. Participants (“Participants”) must be legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older (or of legal age of majority in state or province of residence). Void outside of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. Employees who were responsible for the administration of this Sweepstakes, including officers and directors of Hat World, Inc. (“Lids” or “Sponsor”), are not eligible to participate. Employees, officers and directors of the Player Entities (as defined below), the MLB Entities (as defined below) and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates are not eligible to participate. For purposes of these Official Rules, (i) the “MLB Entities” shall be defined as , the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“BOC”), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (“Clubs”), and each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which now, or in the future, controls or is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, employees, directors, officers, and agents of the foregoing entities, and (ii) the “Player Entities” shall be defined as, collectively, the Major League Baseball Players Association (“MLBPA”) and MLB Players, Inc. (“MLBPI”), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with MLBPA and/or MLBPI, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, members, employees and agents of the foregoing entities, including each and every Major League baseball player.
2. Overview. Lids will include one (1) scratch-off redemption card (a “Redemption Card”) in up to 10,008 Lids Player Chase boxes (each, a “Player Chase Box”). 741 of the Redemption Cards in a Player Chase Box will contain a redemption code to redeem a Prize (as defined below) (each, a “Winning Redemption Card”). Player Chase Boxes may be purchased at Fanatics Fest beginning on June 20, 2025 at 10:00:00 A.M. ET, or, beginning June 27, 2025 at 10:00:00 A.M. ET, online at LidsHD.com or at participating retail locations.
3. Odds; Alternate Means of Entry. Chances of receiving a Winning Redemption Card are approximately 1:13.50. For a chance to obtain a Redemption Card without purchase, at the same odds, while supplies last (i.e., up to 10,008 Redemption Cards will be made available without purchase), send a self-addressed stamped #10 envelope (“SASE”) to: Lids Player Chase Series Two Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 248, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Only one SASE per mailing, postmarked by August 17, 2025 and received by August 27, 2025. No metered mail. Limit 3 requests per household for the Sweepstakes. Drawings to determine whether entrants receive Redemption Cards or not will occur weekly throughout the Redemption Period from all entries received at the time of drawing. Non-winning entries will roll over to the next weekly drawing, if any. All main-in entries must include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
4. Redemption Period. The Sweepstakes will commence at 10:00a.m. Eastern Standard Time on June 20, 2025 and ends 11:59:59p.m. Eastern Standard Time on August 27, 2025 (the “Redemption Period”).
5. Participation; Rules. Participants who receive a winning Redemption Card must redeem it during the Redemption Period by entering the winning redemption code at https://www.lidshd.com/pages/playerchasesweeps] ("Redemption Website”).
To play, Participants must carefully remove the entire scratch off surface on the Redemption Card. If a Participant reveals a winning message under the scratch off surface along with an eligible, unique redemption code, and meets all of the eligibility requirements per these Official Rules, then the Participant is a potential winner and shall be eligible for the Prize associated with their redemption code. If the Participant’s Redemption Card reveals a non-winning message, then they are not a potential winner.
Limit three (3) redemptions per Participant, maximum of three (3) per household. Additional redemptions will be disqualified. Further, each Redemption Card may only be redeemed one time and redemptions are non-transferrable. Redemption cards are void after the Redemption Period, if the scratch off code is damaged or illegible, or if not redeemed in accordance with these Official Rules. All entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules shall be hereinafter referred to as “Eligible Redemptions”. There is no cost to redeem a Redemption Card, however internet access charges and/or wireless data rates may apply.
Participants with Eligible Redemptions (“Redemption Holder”) must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules including, without limitation, the eligibility requirements set forth in Section 1 above. Redeeming a Redemption Card is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In order to complete the redemption of an Eligible Redemption, Redemption Holder must visit the Redemption Website to submit their unique redemption code and follow the provided online instructions to claim their prize, which includes the completion of an affidavit/declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release (except where prohibited by law), or any other document necessary to confirm eligibility, including consent from a parent or guardian (if applicable), as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. If the Redemption Holder is an eligible resident of Canada, the Redemption Holder will also be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without any mechanical or other assistance of any kind, which will be administered by phone or e-mail. Failure to answer the skill-testing question correctly (if applicable), may result in disqualification.
Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, or damaged Redemption Cards, or any potential winning Redemption Card not redeemed in the manner required on the back of the Redemption Card and by these Official Rules. All Redemption Card claims submitted for prize redemption are subject to verification and approval prior to prize award. NOTE: All potential winners shall be required to submit a photo of their potential winning Redemption Card along with their prize claim and may also be required to submit the original winning Redemption Card for verification to Sponsor as instructed. Failure to submit the original potential winning Redemption Card to Sponsor within ten (10) days of request per the provided instructions, shall result in disqualification and forfeiture of the associated prize award.
Any Redemption Card that is damaged, destroyed, lost, duplicated, fraudulent, forged, altered, copied, hand printed or tampered with in any manner will be void. Any Redemption Card that is defective, containing any printing, typographical, or mechanical error or human or programming errors in production is void and not eligible for prize redemption. Participants in possession of a defective Redemption Card may only receive a replacement Redemption Card in exchange for defective Redemption Card, while supplies last. Any act, error or omission that changes the odds or scheduled number of prize awards will render Redemption Card void, including programming and production errors. Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a background check on the Redemption Holder, which may also include a review/monitoring of all of Redemption Holder’s social media accounts, and Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Redemption Holder based on the results of such background check or if, at any time, the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, that providing the redemption to the Redemption Holder might reflect negatively on the Sponsor.
Sponsor is not obligated to share any specific results of background check with any Redemption Holder, whether the background check resulted in a disqualification or not. Factors that could result in disqualification include, without limitation, having been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor, being delinquent on a government-ordered payment, such as child support, spousal support, alimony, tax payments, etc., or any other criminal or civil offense determined at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Where necessary to fulfill this requirement in any jurisdiction, Redemption Holder must provide authorization and/or complete any forms reasonably required to facilitate such background check. If any Redemption Holder cannot be contacted within 48 hours after the first attempt to contact him/her, or if he/she fails to sign and return the required documentation within the required time period, such Redemption Holder’s Eligible Redemption is void at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
6. Prizes. The prizes eligible for redemption are set forth on Schedule A attached hereto, (collectively, the “Prizes”). The total aggregate approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prizes is $359,365.48. All prize winners must accept delivery of the Prize in the method as solely determined and designated by Sponsor. Associated Prize shall be shipped to the designated winner residential address via USPS or other Sponsor designated shipping/mail carrier, or as otherwise designated by Sponsor. Allow approximately 8 – 12 weeks for delivery. Once shipped, Prize shall be considered awarded and fulfilled, and Sponsor shall not be responsible for any lost, late, undelivered, misdirected, damaged or stolen delivery or any incorrect shipping address provided. In the event of any delivery issues, Prize award shall not be replaced or substituted with any alternate prize award or compensation. Winner shall look only to designated shipper/carrier and not to Sponsor for any delivery issues.
7. General Terms. All details related to the Sweepstakes not specified in these Official Rules shall be solely determined by Sponsor. Redemption Holders remain liable for any and all taxes on the value of the Prize received. Participants are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Sponsor shall have no responsibility or obligation to any Participant or Redemption Holder, who is unable or unavailable to accept or utilize a Redemption Card or Eligible Redemption as described herein. No substitution, transfer or cash equivalent is permitted, except by Sponsor in its sole discretion, in which case a replacement of comparable or greater value may be provided with such value determined by Sponsor. All expenses and travel costs incurred as a result of seeking or winning a Prize are the sole responsibility of the Redemption Holder. Any expenses or costs not expressly stated in the description of the Prize above, including, but not limited to, ground transportation, parking fees, meals, incidentals, gratuities, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service or facility charges, airline seat assignment or baggage check fees, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes, or other expenses, are the sole responsibility of the Redemption Holder.
Noncompliance with any of these Official Rules, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, may result in disqualification.
Indemnified Parties (as defined below) assume no responsibility for incorrect, inaccurate, or late entry information whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the Redemption Cards in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes or Official Rules for any reason, including if the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes or amendment and/or adoption of new or existing laws and/or regulations regarding the administration, operation or any other aspect of the Sweepstakes in any jurisdiction. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor may allow Eligible Redemptions to be redeemed to the extent received up until and or after (if applicable) the time of modification, cancellation or termination or in a manner that is fair and equitable as determined by Sponsor. All interpretations of these Official Rules and decisions by Sponsor are final. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. THE NEW YORK COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK SHALL GOVERN THE SWEEPSTAKES. EACH PARTICIPANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THESE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, Million Dollar Media, The Topps Company, Inc., the Player Entities, and the MLB Entities and each of their respective affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, members, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all liabilities, claims, suits, losses, damages, expenses and costs (including, but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting or arising from: (a) the Sweepstakes, including Participants participation therein, and/or (b) any breach or violation of any representation, warranty, obligation or covenant made by each Participant herein. Further, each Participant agrees to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Indemnified Parties, to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Indemnified Parties, and hereby acknowledge that the Indemnified Parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Sweepstakes.
BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, PARTICIPANTS RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY.
IN NO EVENT WILL THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF ANY ACCESS TO, LACK OF ACCESS TO, AND/OR USE OF THE SWEEPSTAKES WEBSITE, THE DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES WEBSITE, THE REMOVAL FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES WEBSITE, OR DISCONTINUATION OF ACCESS TO, ANY MATERIALS, OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF, OR ANY HARM RESULTING FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF, OR PARTICIPATION IN, ANYTHING RECEIVED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THE SWEEPSTAKES, LIDSHD.COM, AND ALL RELATED ACTIVITIES AND MATERIALS PROVIDED ON OR THROUGH THE SWEEPSTAKES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Use and Transfer of Personal Information. By participating, each Participant agrees that their personally identifiable information collected or used in connection with the Sweepstakes may be used by Sponsor in accordance with their privacy policy(ies) located at https://www.lidshd.com/policies/privacy-policy. Any personal information held by Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes will be held on record for a reasonable period to fulfill the purpose for which such personal information was collected. If a Participant give Sponsor permission to pass on their personal information to a third party then this shall no longer be the responsibility of Sponsor and shall be subject to the privacy policy of that third party.
